Southern Nevada Health District Introduces Passport Program to Improve Health and Wellness in the Community
LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) has launched a new initiative aimed at promoting and improving health and wellness in the community. The SNHD Passport Program is an innovative approach to encouraging residents to take an active role in their health and well-being by participating in various wellness activities and services offered by the Health District.
The SNHD Passport Program is designed to incentivize individuals to engage in healthy behaviors and access preventive health services. Participants in the program will receive a passport booklet containing a list of activities and services that they can complete and receive stamps for. These activities and services include attending wellness workshops, getting immunizations, participating in physical fitness programs, and accessing mental health services.
Participants can earn stamps by engaging in these activities and services, and once they have accumulated a certain number of stamps, they will be eligible to receive rewards and incentives. These rewards may include gift cards, fitness equipment, and other health-related prizes.
The goal of the SNHD Passport Program is to promote a culture of health and wellness in the community and encourage individuals to take proactive steps to maintain and improve their health. By participating in the program, residents will have the opportunity to learn about healthy lifestyle choices, access important health services, and connect with resources and support to help them lead healthier lives.
“We are excited to launch the SNHD Passport Program as a way to empower our community to prioritize their health and well-being,” said Dr. Kevin Dick, Health Officer for the Southern Nevada Health District. “By participating in this program, residents will have the opportunity to engage in activities and services that promote wellness and prevent disease, ultimately leading to a healthier and happier community.”
The SNHD Passport Program is open to residents of Southern Nevada and is free to participate. Participants can pick up a passport booklet at any SNHD facility or download a digital version from the Health District’s website. The program will run throughout the year, with opportunities for residents to earn stamps and rewards on an ongoing basis.
In addition to the passport program, the Southern Nevada Health District is also partnering with local community organizations, businesses, and healthcare providers to offer additional resources and support to program participants. These collaborations will help to expand the reach of the program and provide participants with access to a wide range of health and wellness services.
“We are committed to working with our community partners to create a supportive environment for individuals to make positive changes to their health,” said Dr. Dick. “By coming together to promote the SNHD Passport Program, we can make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.”
The launch of the SNHD Passport Program comes at a critical time, as the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of maintaining good health and practicing preventive measures to protect against illness. Through this program, the Southern Nevada Health District aims to empower residents to prioritize their health and well-being and take proactive steps to improve their overall quality of life.
