California Officials Launch New Electronic Passport Application System
California residents can now apply for passports electronically thanks to a new system launched by state officials. The California Electronic Passport Application System (CEPAS) allows individuals to apply for a passport without having to visit a passport acceptance facility in person.
The system, which was developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of State, aims to streamline the passport application process and make it more convenient for Californians to obtain a passport. With the launch of CEPAS, residents no longer have to wait in long lines or deal with complicated paper forms when applying for a passport.
