Federal Building in Los Angeles Issues New Passport Requirements
LOS ANGELES – In an effort to increase security measures and streamline the passport application process, the federal building in Los Angeles has announced new requirements for citizens applying for passports. The changes come in response to the growing number of passport applications being processed at the federal building, as well as concerns over the potential for fraud and identity theft.
Effective immediately, all applicants for new or renewed passports must appear in person at the federal building in Los Angeles to submit their application. This new requirement is intended to verify the identity of the applicant and reduce the risk of fraudulent applications being submitted. However, we want to stress that all applicants must still meet the new requirements and undergo the same vetting process, regardless of whether they choose expedited processing or not.”
