Gwinnett Library now offers passport services, making it easier than ever for residents to apply for or renew their passports. This new service is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to provide valuable resources and support to the community.
The Gwinnett Library Passport Service is a convenient and efficient way to apply for a passport. Residents can visit any Gwinnett County library branch to submit their passport application and have their photo taken. The library staff will assist with completing the necessary forms and provide guidance throughout the process.
“We are thrilled to offer passport services at our library branches,” said Nancy Sturgis, Director of Gwinnett County Public Library. “Applying for a passport can be a time-consuming and complicated process, so we wanted to make it easier for our residents by providing this service right here at the library.”
To apply for a passport at the library, residents will need to bring several documents with them, including proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate or naturalization certificate), a valid photo ID, and a passport photo. The library staff will be on hand to help ensure that all documents are in order and that the application is filled out correctly.
In addition to providing assistance with passport applications, the Gwinnett Library Passport Service also offers photo services for a small fee. Residents can have their passport photo taken at the library, saving them a trip to a separate photo studio.
The library staff has been trained to provide excellent customer service and ensure that the passport application process goes smoothly for all residents. Whether it’s a first-time passport application or a renewal, the library staff is ready to help.
“We want to make the passport application process as easy as possible for our residents,” said Sturgis. “Our goal is to provide a one-stop shop for all their passport needs, from filling out the application to taking the photo, all in one convenient location.”
The Gwinnett Library Passport Service is just one of the many valuable resources and services offered by the library. In addition to books and other materials, residents can take advantage of computer and internet access, educational programs and events, and much more.
“We are proud to serve as a hub for the community, providing a wide range of resources and services to meet the needs of our residents,” said Sturgis. “The addition of passport services is just another way we are working to make life easier for our patrons.”
Residents who are interested in applying for a passport at the Gwinnett Library can visit any library branch during regular business hours. Appointments are not required, but residents are encouraged to call ahead to ensure that staff members are available to assist with their passport application.
