Kings Highway Library Launches Innovative Passport Program
The Kings Highway Library in Brooklyn has launched a new and exciting initiative to encourage patrons to explore all the wonderful resources the library has to offer. The Kings Highway Library Passport program is a unique way for library members to expand their knowledge, engage with their community, and have fun while doing so.
The concept is simple yet brilliant. Library members can pick up their passport booklet at the Kings Highway Library, which features a list of different activities and tasks to complete around the library. Each activity is designed to showcase a different aspect of the library’s services and resources, from attending a book club meeting to exploring the library’s digital collection.
“We wanted to create a program that would not only incentivize our patrons to utilize all the amazing resources we have here at the library but also to provide a fun and interactive way for them to engage with our community,” said Sarah Rodriguez, the head librarian at Kings Highway Library.
Some of the activities included in the passport booklet include attending a library event, checking out a book from a specific genre, trying out a library workshop or class, and exploring the library’s online resources. Participants can get their passport stamped by library staff for each completed activity, and those who complete all the tasks will be entered into a prize drawing at the end of the program.
The Kings Highway Library Passport program has already received enthusiastic feedback from patrons who have participated. “I love the idea of the passport program!
