Lenoir Community College Launches New Passport Program to Encourage Student Success
Kinston, North Carolina – In an effort to promote student success and engagement, Lenoir Community College (LCC) has officially launched its new Passport Program. This innovative initiative aims to provide students with a roadmap to navigate their academic journey while also encouraging personal and professional growth.
The Passport Program, which was developed by a team of faculty and staff at LCC, is designed to help students set and achieve their academic and career goals. Through a series of interactive workshops, events, and activities, students will have the opportunity to develop crucial skills such as time management, goal setting, and critical thinking.
“We are thrilled to launch the Passport Program here at Lenoir Community College,” said Dr. Rusty Hunt, President of LCC. “Our goal is to provide our students with the resources and support they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond. We believe that the Passport Program will help our students reach their full potential and achieve their dreams.”
One of the key components of the Passport Program is the creation of a personalized Passport profile for each student. This profile will serve as a roadmap to help students track their progress, set goals, and identify areas for growth. Students will work closely with advisors to develop their profile and create a plan for success.
In addition to the Passport profile, students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops and events throughout the academic year. These activities will cover a wide range of topics, including study skills, leadership development, and career exploration. The Passport Program will also offer networking opportunities with local employers and community leaders to help students build connections and gain valuable experience.
“We believe that the Passport Program will make a significant impact on the success of our students,” said Dr. Hunt. “By providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive academically and professionally, we are empowering our students to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.”
The Passport Program has already garnered positive feedback from students and faculty alike. “I am so excited to be a part of the Passport Program,” said Sarah, a current student at LCC. “I feel like I finally have a roadmap to help me navigate my college experience and set myself up for success in the future.”
In addition to helping students succeed academically, the Passport Program also aims to foster a sense of community and belonging at LCC. By participating in workshops and events, students will have the opportunity to connect with their peers, faculty, and staff in a meaningful and engaging way.
“We want our students to feel supported and valued throughout their time at Lenoir Community College,” said Dr. Hunt. “The Passport Program is just one of the many ways we are working to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all of our students.”
As the Passport Program continues to grow and evolve, the faculty and staff at LCC are committed to providing students with the resources and support they need to succeed. By empowering students to take control of their academic and career journey, Lenoir Community College is helping to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
