Mobile Passport Control Expands to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

Seattle, Washington – Travelers passing through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) now have a new convenience at their fingertips. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced the expansion of its Mobile Passport Control (MPC) program to SEA, allowing eligible travelers to expedite their entry process into the United States.

The MPC app, available for download on both Android and iOS devices, allows travelers to submit their passport information and customs declaration form electronically before arriving at the customs checkpoint. This streamlines the entry process, saving time and reducing congestion at the airport.

“We are excited to bring the Mobile Passport Control program to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport,” said CBP Seattle Area Port Director, Lance Norred. “By using this app, travelers can save valuable time and make their arrival into the United States as smooth as possible.”

To use the MPC app, travelers simply download it from the app store, create a profile with their passport information, and complete a customs declaration form. Upon arrival at SEA, they can proceed to the designated Mobile Passport Control lines, show their digital receipt to a CBP officer, and have their passport scanned for verification. The process is quick and easy, allowing travelers to bypass the traditional paper-based entry forms and long lines.

“We understand that international travel can be stressful, and our goal is to make the experience as efficient and seamless as possible for our passengers,” said Lance Norred. “The Mobile Passport Control program is just one of the many initiatives we are implementing to enhance the traveler experience at SEA.”

The expansion of MPC to SEA is part of CBP’s efforts to modernize and enhance the entry process for international travelers. The program is currently available at 30 major airports and cruise ports across the country, with plans to expand to more locations in the future.

Travelers have praised the MPC app for its convenience and ease of use. “I’ve used the Mobile Passport Control app several times now, and it has made a big difference in my travel experience,” said frequent flyer Sarah Johnson. “I no longer have to fill out paper forms or wait in long lines at the airport. It’s a game-changer.”

In addition to the MPC app, CBP has also implemented other technology-driven initiatives at SEA to expedite the entry process. Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks are available for eligible travelers to complete their customs declaration form and biometric verification upon arrival. This has helped reduce wait times and improve the overall passenger experience at the airport.

“We are constantly looking for ways to leverage technology to enhance our operations and improve the traveler experience,” said Lance Norred. “The expansion of Mobile Passport Control to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer service.”

Travelers flying into SEA are encouraged to download the Mobile Passport Control app before their trip to take advantage of the expedited entry process. For more information on the program and eligibility requirements, visit the CBP website or contact the airport directly.

As international travel continues to increase, initiatives like Mobile Passport Control are essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient entry process for travelers. With the expansion of the program to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, passengers can look forward to a more streamlined and hassle-free experience when arriving in the United States.
