St. Johns County Launches New Passport Services for Residents

St. Augustine, FL – In an effort to provide increased convenience and accessibility to residents, St. Johns County has announced the launch of new passport services at select locations throughout the county. The initiative aims to streamline the passport application process and make obtaining a passport more convenient for residents who may not have easy access to a passport acceptance facility.

The new passport services will be available at several locations, including the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office and the St. Johns County Clerk of Court. Residents will now be able to apply for a passport, renew a passport, or update their passport information at these locations without having to travel to a designated passport acceptance facility.

“In today’s fast-paced world, convenience is key. We understand that our residents lead busy lives, and we want to make it as easy as possible for them to obtain a passport,” said St. Johns County Tax Collector, Dennis Hollingsworth. “By offering passport services at multiple locations throughout the county, we hope to make the process more accessible and convenient for all residents.”

The new passport services are expected to be particularly beneficial for residents who live in rural areas or who may not have easy access to a passport acceptance facility. By bringing passport services to their local government offices, residents will be able to save time and eliminate the need to travel long distances to obtain a passport.

To apply for a passport at one of the designated locations, residents will need to bring a completed passport application, proof of U.S. citizenship, proof of identity, and a passport photo. The passport application will be processed by trained staff at the location, and residents can expect to receive their passport within six to eight weeks.

In addition to the standard passport services, the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office will also offer expedited passport services for residents who need their passport in a hurry. Expedited passport services will be available for an additional fee, and residents can expect to receive their passport within two to three weeks.

“We understand that there may be situations where residents need their passport quickly, whether it be for a last-minute trip or an emergency situation,” said Hollingsworth. “By offering expedited passport services, we hope to provide a solution for residents who need their passport in a hurry.”

The launch of the new passport services comes at a time when the demand for passports is at an all-time high. With more Americans looking to travel internationally, the need for passports has never been greater. By offering passport services at multiple locations throughout the county, St. Johns County hopes to meet this increased demand and provide a valuable service to its residents.

Residents who are interested in applying for a passport can visit the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office or the St. Johns County Clerk of Court during regular business hours. More information about the new passport services, including hours of operation and required documents, can be found on the St. Johns County website.

Overall, the launch of the new passport services is expected to streamline the passport application process and make it more convenient for residents to obtain a passport. By bringing passport services to multiple locations throughout the county, St. Johns County hopes to make the process more accessible and efficient for all residents.
